Sheffield Container Depot
The Newell & Wright (NWT) Group operates one of the largest and most strategically positioned container storage networks in the North of England, centered around their Templeborough headquarters.

- Sustainability Focus: The facility utilizes a fleet of Kalmar box lifters powered by HVO fuel, which significantly reduces carbon emissions during loading and stacking.

Ilkeston
A new, high-investment depot serving as a vital extension of our South Yorkshire hub, enhancing our ability to service the Midlands and national container routes.

- Strategic Location: Located at Lows Lane, Stanton-by-Dale (DE7 4QU), the site sits in a long-established industrial area with excellent links to the M1 motorway.
- Fleet Investment: The depot launched with 40 brand-new articulated vehicles, significantly increasing NWT’s total fleet capacity to support growing demand.
- Job Creation: This site is a major local employer who are contributing to the wider local supply chain.
Masborough Terminal
Our Masborough Rail Terminal is the company’s initial foray into the intermodal market, it serves as a high-velocity container hub in the heart of Rotherham.
Key features of this critical facility include:
- Direct Sea Port Access: Masborough provides vital rail links to the Port of Southampton, London Gateway & Felixstowe enabling efficient, long-distance freight movement that bypasses the UK’s congested motorway network.
- Capacity & Efficiency: Working in tandem with the nearby Tinsley site, the terminal is equipped with heavy-duty container lifting equipment to ensure rapid turnaround times for both incoming and outgoing freight trains.
- Green Logistics: The terminal is central to our “Rail First” strategy, allowing local businesses to drastically reduce their carbon footprint by utilizing rail for the bulk of their supply chain journey.

Tinsley Terminal
Reactivated by us in 2021, we’ve transformed the terminal from a derelict marshalling yard into a high-capacity intermodal hub serving the Sheffield and Rotherham boundary.
